I recently attended your Career talk at my University, which motivated me further to pursue my future career in Investment Banking. I hereby submit my application with relevant documents attached.

Having a natural flair for numbers and strong analytical skills, I decided to pursue my undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering. I have been enjoying mechanical engineering courses and doing well in it so far. However, during my two years studying these subjects, I realized I was more interested in solving real-life problems, which tends to be multidisciplinary and a job as a mechanical engineer would not make me do so.

While doing a part-time internship as a Business Intelligence analyst at the Office of the Post Graduate studies in my university, I loved analyzing raw numbers and presenting them in meaningful and clear ways. This summer, I interned at Harvard University where I got a chance to work in a multidisciplinary team and devise solutions for the real life problems. I was responsible for the project management of the team, which enhanced my team working and communication skills. While participating in an Aircraft competition last year in Kansas, I was given the role of Strategy Manager where I had to come up with the most optimum way in which we could send our two aircrafts for various missions regularly, without missing any chance. I enjoy making strategies based on numbers more than plain mechanical engineering.

My excellent academic record in subjects from different majors shows my ability to learn new things quickly. I have also showed leadership and communication skills by working on various positions in different teams. These skills coupled with my strong interest towards career in investment banking make me a suitable candidate for the summer analyst position at your firm.
