SUB: This is an application for the Europe Graduate 2015 program (21446BR). I am in my final year of Masters’ studies in Sustainable Energy Engineering and will graduate in September 2015. I learned about this program through the company’s website. I have a strong interest in consulting, where I hope to put my interests and knowledge into practice.

Over the course of my education, I had a balanced rigorous course load and extracurricular activities that has allowed me to enhance my skills relevant to this role. Specific to engineering, through my many academic project works, I have developed abilities in designing, energy demand analysis, programming and optimization of energy systems. For example, during my graduate studies my friends and I developed an energy demand forecast for Azerbaijan using leap. The forecast was done for four different scenarios meeting the requirements and keeping up with the deadlines of the project.

The nature of my education has prepared me for this position. It involved a great deal of initiative, self-motivation and a wide range of skills. I have demonstrated strong research skills during my university projects which have been done in team environment. I am able to take responsibility for my work as well as take lead when required. I have been trained to approach a problem in an analytical manner maintaining focus and perspective. My academic skills have given me the ability to communicate effectively through speech and writing.

I am attracted to the constant problem solving that consulting offers and am enthusiastic about the idea of problem solving in teams to allow for rapid development of ideas. I would love to begin my career at your reputed firm. I would bring to AMEC the expertise of engineering, and the ability to think to large problems and learn information quickly.
