One of the main positions that has prepared me for this role is being a Resident Assistant. As a resident assistant, it is my job to meet the needs of the student residents that reside in the halls I oversee. Because of this position, I am able to adapt to various personalities, which is crucial to meeting the demand of various people in the customer service business. It is very important to conquer the skill in knowing what exactly to say to people and how to say it. I was able to practice mastering that skill through the numerous daily encounters I have with the student residents. The position has also allowed me to handle various types of emergency situations that has occurred during the residential facilities. As a result, I have become more efficient in thought processing and problem solving.

In terms of marketing, throughout my time at Clark Atlanta University, I was able to build strong relationships with various departments and campus charted organizations. One example is serving as the historian to Miss Clark Atlanta University. It was my job to market Miss Clark Atlanta University through photography and videography to increase public relations. The same can be done for the bookstore. I can utilizes my resources to produce public service announcements, commercials, and campaigns that can assist in marketing the store to more consumers. Various ideas can also be implemented through Miss Clark Atlanta University, or other organizations that will potentially assist in keeping more students interested in supporting their campus store.
