Sample cover letter for Internship position at langham capital

POSITION:

financial role

Date: 19-09-2014

Dear Sir/ Madam

I am a first year student at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. I would politely like to convey to you that I am looking forward to building a long term career in Finance. I have always been deeply interested in quantitative, economics and mathematical domains and find finance subjects immensely interesting, challenging and oriented with my hard-working personality. How clear the financial position picture of a company becomes by analyzing statements and ratios properly is really awe- inspiring. Moreover the subject is so diverse and mysterious that the more I get in, the more interesting it keeps getting. I want to work hard, work in a strong team, and be involved in analytical and quantitative problems on a daily basis. There is indeed a great scope of learning in finance which inspires me a lot.

Moreover out of all the roles in finance, I find the Investment Banking role indeed the most challenging and interesting at the same time. I would sincerely be looking forward to work hands on in IB. I would love to attain expertise in learning about structuring M&Adeals, writing the perfect pitch book and risk management which forms the core of investment decisions in a company. The extremely challenging nature ofAnalystand Associate positions will challenge me to push my limits from a work standpoint. While some might find long working hours scary, to me, I find it immensely interesting in a strange way. I have a very strong work ethic and I am excited to be a part of a team involved in making companies better off strategically and financially.

I would especially like to draw your focus to the fact that I am deeply interested in working with Langham Capital for a variety of reasons, the most important one being the atmosphere at Langham which is highly conducive to learning. Owing to the relatively young nature and high growth potential of the company, I would be entrusted with a higher level of responsibility and accountability. Moreover as part of intense discussions with my senior who was associated with Langham earlier, I came to know that I will be treated as part of the Organization and not just another 2 month intern as seen generally. The peer group learning and work culture will help me leverage my skills and make a much bigger contribution to the company as I aspire to do.

I would eagerly be looking forward to the opportunity to interact with you while you will be on our campus.

Yours Sincerely
