I am currently a graduate student under the mentorship of xxxx. During the past three and half years, the focus of my graduate research has been to develop new and efficient synthetic methods using xxxxx. My past projects include xxxxxx. Currently I am working on the synthesis and reactivity of xxxxxxx, during which I have discovered unprecedented xxxx. My passion for the field of macromolecular and supramolecular chemistry traces back to my days as a MS student when I worked in the field of xxxxx in the laboratory of xxxx.
In addition to my own research projects, I have been actively involved in a collaborative research program between xxx and xxx. This program aims at developing and optimizing new methods, which are of great academic and industrial interest. Since the center opened, I have served as administrator who is in charge of training chemists in my research group on using the center, teaching xxxxx, and assisting with their experimental designs and data interpretation. This experience has improved not only my analytical skills but also my organizational skills, and it also taught me how to balance team and individual responsibilities.
Other valuable experiences I have gained are mentoring graduate, undergraduate and high school students and serving as a teaching assistant in xxxx, which taught me to be a better leader.
