I am submitting to a letter to express my strong desire to be considered for the position of Graduate Programme being offered by your webpage. I had an opportunity to speak with David Cain from the LA office, who had just wrapped up a nonprofit project, and as he described the impact their contributions had made, it only confirmed my excitement in the job.” I fully believe that a career in management consulting at McKinsey will provide the learning environment and the business exposure necessary to grow as a powerful leader who can see the “big picture”.

Being well-motivated has given me exceptional opportunities to broaden my vision through a wide variety of courses from both engineering and management disciplines. I completed two majors (Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering) at the same time. I graduated from the former as top of my class in my year. Afterwards, I continue my education and completed Master Degree in Engineering Management with high honour degree at one of the top university. Throughout my studies. I started to work as a Planning Engineer at the sector leader company in special steel manufacturing in Turkey. Not just I sharpened my analytical and decision-making skills while I am working, I also got involved in manifold projects across different departments. I fulfilled tasks which were beyond of the scope of my duties, e.g., I conducted a research on brand equity of the company, and I proposed a reorganization project which got accepted by the executive board of the company. Even though I was studying my second master at the same time, I committed my free time to work after classes and during weekends. As a result of my devotion, I got promoted to Strategic Planning Executive within a year, and I became the youngest person to attend board meetings.

Today, as a individual, I perceive my life as a process of continuous but conscious evolution. I find myself good at balancing the needs of today with the needs of tomorrow. Being a football team captain or the president of the Erasmus Society did not made me tired, but rather my responsibilities always motivated me for success. I have been successful in fulfilling my personal aims and sustaining my achievements so far. I believe after experiencing being a Jean Monnet scholar and completing with Distinction degree at the University of Warwick, at this stage of my life, as top-tier company, McKinsey is a natural next step for my career and personal development.

Given my commitment to excellence, demonstrated by my capacity to overcome bariers with my sheer determination and my values, I believe that I will enrich the McKinsey by enabling collugues and clients to benefit from my ambitious and open nature. I will use my experience and interdisciplinary education to help solve the client's business dilemmas through my research and through providing value adding solutions .
