As a motivated and competent sophomore at the University of Texas at San Antonio, I am very excited in applying for the summer financial advisor internship. I learned about this internship opportunity at Merrill Lynch through my Aunt, a long-time employee of the company who recommended that I apply for the internship since the qualifications directly match my interest, skills, and educational experience.

I am currently majoring in business with a concentration in finance where I have demonstrated strong academic performance since I started college in the fall of 2015. The courses that I have taken so far have given me a solid base in the understanding of the economy and the markets. I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to effectively liaise with business users and members of the team. I have also taken the initiative to expand the networking in my fraternity by organizing events and obtaining several new contacts, relying upon my organizational skills as well as my leadership attributions.

The thought that I will have the opportunity to dive into a range of experiences, which allow me to take leadership and accountability for my work and test myself in new areas while working with and learning from great people and continually adding to my skills and knowledge base, motivates me to apply for career opportunities such as Merrill Lynch financial advisor internship.
