I am Tathagata Das, a 4th year Dual Degree student [5yr BTech + integrated MTech] in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. I am interested in the field of peer-to-peer networks, and while searching for relevant publications I came across projects in this field, I came across the ……… project. The subject of the project has appealed very much to me. I would like to do a summer internship during May-July 2007 in the related field under you guidance to expand my knowledge in the field of P2P networks.

I am currently involved in my B.Tech. project “Designing an unified P2P protocol for optimizing file and real time data transfer” which involves analysis of the proprietary protocols of KaZaA and Skype by reverse-engineering, and designing of a novel P2P architecture that unifies and optimizes both the services, file transfer and internet telephony.

Besides this, I am also involved in development of server-client based distributed software that has the capability to simulate the exploration of an unknown surface by multiple autonomous robots.

The details of my projects and work experiences, along with my personal skills and expertise are given below.
