Sample cover letter for Full Time position at morgan stanley

POSITION:

analyst

My previous work experience prepared me to think creatively and structure a problem logically through in- depth research and accurate quantitative analysis. For example, at EY, I worked with the Senior Manager and drafted an employment checking procedure for the banking sector after studying similar processes implemented by the UN and the US Federal Government. Additionally, as a Project Manager at HSBC I had to think “out of the box” in order to simplify the account opening procedures. After surveying corporate clients, I streamlined the customer contact protocol and developed a model to assess improvements numerically, thus increasing customer satisfaction by 20% in three months. These skills prepared me well to identify operating issues and seize opportunity based on concrete data.

My involvement in different extracurricular activities has also enhanced my communication and teamwork skills. As the UNICEF On Campus Regional Coordinator I leaded over 40 volunteers in fundraising for and promoting social causes. Being able to easily embrace diversity and manage my time effectively makes me well suited to the consulting industry.

Lastly, I enjoy pushing myself to succeed in new challenges. In my second year of university, I applied to be considered as part of Ernst & Young’s Undergraduate of the Year Award and was selected as one of the top 10 finalists. These achievements reflect my commitment to excellence and provide me with a strong footing to start my career.

I strongly believe that I will be well fitted to the investment banking and global markets analyst programme and I look forward to discussing this position at your convenience. Thank you for your time and consideration.
