Sample cover letter for Internship position at morgan stanley

POSITION:

business analyst

Dear Recruiter,

I’m currently studying at Kelley School of Business for Master of Science in Information Systems specializing in Business Intelligence and Analytics. I’m interested in applying for the Information Technology Business Analyst internship at Cummins, as I believe it will help me pursue my goal to be a technology and business strategist. I feel it will be an ideal stepping-stone for me to start my career at a multinational Fortune 500 company like Morgan Stanley.

My undergraduate studies in Computer Engineering has enabled me with a sound technical base while the Foundation in Business course has exposed me to subjects like Excel Spreadsheet Modeling, IT in Business as well as Finance during this summer. Being an entrepreneur enthusiast I did my internship at a startup where my strategic proficiencies were put to test, as I was constantly improving the product in order to stay abreast with competitors in the market. During my term in AIESEC, world’s largest youth run organization, I was awarded “Best Team Leader”, for training my team as well as imparting leadership qualities to them. The organization also provided me with a platform to hone my interpersonal skills while engaging with clients from various industries along with creating a strong global network. I realized the importance of the involvement of each team member under extreme time constraints while organizing various corporate events where I was constantly motivating my team members to achieve collective goals. Currently I’m a part of the Women in Technology chapter where I’ve arranged workshops to help women progress in the technology world and was glad to know that Morgan Stanley shares similar values seen through the Women’s Affinity Group which helps women leader advance at workplace.

I firmly believe that I’ll not only be a good fit for the Morgan Stanley culture but also bring the required analytical and problem solving skills to become a business innovator. I am excited at the prospect of working in a company, which invests in the growth of its employee and encourages innovation among it’s employees through “Innovation You Can Depend Upon” initiative.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
