I wish to partake in your internship program for the summer of 2016. As a economics major, I believe that this would be a great opportunity to learn and gain experience in the field of finance. I came across this program through a friend of a family member who has participated in past programs. As someone interested in analysis, I believe some of my personal characteristics are a good fit. I am a fast learning and efficient worker. I also believe that honesty and integrity is essential in working with people and any position within any industry and I believe that I display these characteristics when I work and in everyday life.
KOCHAM is a Korean American based organization. As a Korean who was born and raised in New York, I believe that it is important to stay in touch with my heritage and what better opportunity is there than working closely with a Korean American organization in the world of finance. Truthfully, I lack experience working in finance and corporate office work, but I have experience in customer service and dealing with people. I would like to gain experience in analysis and financing with mindset of being able to succeed. I can apply the scholarly information from my education and apply it to real-world work situations. The experience that can be gained by working with KOCHAM will be priceless and applicable to my future.
