POSITION:

research analyst

Dear Ms XXX,

Driven by my entrepreneurial spirit and great passion for strategy and communication, I would like to apply for the Graduate Researcher/ Associate Consultant position advertised in The Guardian online jobs section. I am an individual that thrives in a dynamic and demanding environment and performs well under pressure.

My interdisciplinary academic background has provided me with the skills for tackling multifaceted issues and understandings of the intertwined processes and elements deeply embedded in society, economy and politics. The nature of my degree course in Politics, Philosophy and Economics has thus prepared me for this position as it involved a great deal of independent research, requiring initiative and self-motivation. Through my master’s degree in anthropology I have gained intensive research skills for collecting and making sense of information, as well as for analytical, detailed reading and critical thinking. I am trained to efficiently analyse qualitative and quantitative data and communicate it effectively. My diversified knowledge was accelerated through my intellectual curiosity and my strong academic commitment has refined my communication skills. Throughout my academic career I have extensively dealt with renewables energy and financial services.

I am highly motivated, hard working and would love the opportunity to work in a stimulating environment. I feel confident that I can meet the challenges presented by such a fast-moving business and that I can contribute by applying my strong motivation and knowledge. I also hope to gain a deeper practical insight into consultancy.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Yours sincerely,

XXXX
