I am a second year undergraduate student at - studying Economics, finance and banking. I recently saw your industrial placement starting this July on my university’s database for Citi bank working in Corporate Broking UK Equity Capital Markets . In which is an opportunity for my penultimate year in which particular caught my interest due to Citi’s key values, including common purpose, responsible finance, ingenuity and leadership as well as…... I believe I have the educational background, experience, academic achievement and drive to be an outstanding member of Citi bank given the opportunity.

I am anambitious individual determined to succeed in any challenging environment. I have the burning desire to excel in a financial based jobthat has led me to want to learn as much as possible about financial markets. This has resulting in me studying the degree I am currently pursuing, and regularly applying the knowledge I know to practical application by investing in equities and bonds. That allowed me to purchase my first property last year.

I also got the opportunity to work part time At - throughout my A level education as an office assistant where I enhanced my teamwork, leadership, organisation and communication skills greatly whilst working with equity researchers and portfolio managers in order to help with the organisation of information that they required (this included market news, client information). This was proven to be beneficial to their firm.

Throughout the remainder of this year at university I will be studying modules that will be particularly beneficial to your firm. These include financial decision making with econometrics (in which I obtained a 1^st for my first half of this module.), Economics of international banking, global financial markets, macro and micro economics, and also management accounting. I got a high 2.1 in my first year of university and I’m looking to improve on this grade this year.
