Dear Hiring Manger,
I am interested in applying to The Richman Group as an Accounting Intern. I have recently graduated from ; I will be completing a second Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems in May 2016 in order to complete the 150 credit hours, fulfilling the CPA education requirement. The opportunity to work at this firm is of particular interest to me because of its challenging and hands-on nature that will help me become a world class accountant. My experience, leadership skills and preparation as an Accounting and MIS student makes me a viable candidate for the Accounting Internship.
This past tax season, I have also gained experience working as an IRS Certified Tax Preparer for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA). The VITA program provides free tax preparation services for low-to moderate-income taxpayers within the Danbury community. This experience has provided me the opportunity to work within a professional environment and to work one-on-one with clients to prepare their federal, state, and local tax returns.
