I am writing to express my interest in the Resident Assistant position. After my experience as a first year student, I have gained a significant perspective on the adjustment to college dorm life. I feel that I would be a great addition to the Resident Assistant staff in my ability to help students adjust to college life and help foster a sense of community among the residents.

In high school, I spent a significant amount of time working for an organization called Link Crew. In my position as captain, I was responsible for organizing freshman orientation, connecting with the incoming freshman class, and scheduling programming throughout the year. In this role, I acquired many valuable leadership skills, learned how to develop a welcoming community, and attained an understanding of how to handle significant responsibility. Throughout my time working with this organization, we successfully welcomed the freshman class into the school year, carried out a district wide service project, and helped students adjust to high school life.
