As a motivated and successful student at Bren University, and a member and leader in many student organizations, I am eager to take the next step into the business/corporate world. I am writing to inquire about a possible internship at TaxCorpllc as a Finance Manager. It is my belief that TaxCorpllc is an exemplary financial institution where I can learn, grow and contribute to the goals and vision of the corporation.
Currently I am a junior majoring in finance and minoring in management at Bren University, where I have demonstrated strong academic performance in all finance courses, maintaining a 3.4 GPA in my major. The courses I have completed have given me a solid foundation in the tools, processes and methodologies involved in successfully analyzing and documenting financial facts and figures. I have a proven ability to learn challenging concepts quickly and have developed competencies in diverse areas.
Also, I have conducted several research projects independently as well as with class teams, carrying out comprehensive primary and secondary research using both quantitative and qualitative techniques. Such opportunities have enabled me to develop the ability to work well in teams and exhibit a high and admirable work ethic.
In addition to my analytical strengths, I bring to the table advanced computer skills (with cross-platform expertise in Windows and a satisfactory familiarity with Mac); expertise in the MS Office suite of products.
Since starting college, I have worked part-time as an office assistant and teacher’s assistant in the psychology department. I have earned a reputation for consistently exceeding expectations and performing at a high level of excellence. However, I yearn to gain corporate finance experience. I am impressed with the innovation and success at TaxCorpllc and I would very much like to be a part of such a winning Corporation.
