Sample cover letter for Internship position at u s cellular

POSITION:

business analyst

As a graduate Student in Management Information Systems (MIS) at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), I would like to be considered for your Reserch Analyst intern.

After attending the career fair at UIC yesterday, I became very excited about the exciting career opportunities and dynamic culture at U.S. Cellular. Additionally my conversation with Claudia Castaneda serves only to strengthen my belief that U.S. Cellular would be the ideal place for me to leverage my strong analytical skills to make a substantial impact on telecom industry.

Prior to attending UIC, I acquire a diverse set of marketing and project management skills. My experience working directly for the General Manager at WAPCOS Ltd. (a govt. of India Undertaking) on a multinational project will enable me to immediately grasp the responsibility and challenges presented by this position. My roles at WAPCOS Ltd. gave me the opportunity to interact with senior management and to gain experience with a global perspective. I believe that my exposure to senior management and the tactical side of Business with the skills I gained as a graduate student at UIC – analytical thinking, team leadership and interpersonal skills – will allow me to make an immediate impact at U.S. Cellular.

In addition, currently I have focused on developing my skills in database management systems and strategic analysis using tools like R, two areas that I know are critical success factor for this role in U.S. Cellular. These skills, along with my prior work experience and passion for core network engineering will enable me to significantly contribute to your business.

I would welcome the opportunity to interview with your company. Please find my resume attached. I look forward to meeting with you soon and want to thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
