During my years at the university, I devoted most of my spare time to volunteering activities and social projects. I have always had special concerns for the welfare of disadvantaged children from developing countries and therefore spent much of my time and efforts to projects dedicating to this issue. Apart from the two major university projects that helped raise significant funds to children in Vietnam and the Philippines, I also spent time teaching English for free for kids age 5 to 10 in rural Cambodia during my travelling there. In sophomore year, I volunteered to help out Vietnamese parents whose kids were being treated for cancer at the National University Hospital, mostly with translation work. Besides my interest in working for children’s benefits, I enjoyed mountaineering immensely: I have conquered three summits of the Seven Summits and planned to climb the fourth one in 2017.
