Sample cover letter for Full Time position at under armour

POSITION:

development manager

Are you wondering how to lead and drive teams of application development professionals to increase profits?

If so, I may be the person you are looking for.

I started my career as a sales representative, and then transitioned to a buyer side in charge of an entire factory throughout my 10+ years of experience working in the polyurethane (PU) area. Thus, I have a comprehensive understanding of the PU-related industry, like shoe, furniture; most importantly, I know HOW—and why it is challenging—to develop a market, regardless of whether it’s an existing or new one, for more sales.

My experience has taught me—a good application-development talent/team leader should possess the following traits: 1) technical backgrounds, 2) buyer’s mindset, 3) sales skill sets, and 4) planning abilities.

When we have technical knowledge, we can easily identify customer needs and seamlessly exchange ideas with their engineers with the same frequency and words needed to come up with solutions.

Of course, if we are also armed with a buyer’s mindset, we can understand the issues they truly desire to resolve—and help them to fulfill their mission. In addition, when we know their needs and desires inside out—plus having proven sales skill sets—we will definitely receive more orders—leading to more profits. Don’t you agree?

Moreover, as you know, application and market development is not a one-time, but a long-term activity, and thus, we should PLAN in advance. This way, we can initiate a series of activities to achieve the future goals.

Now, if you agree with me regarding these thoughts, we really should arrange an interview, RIGHT?

Because I don’t just possess ALL of these traits, but also have leadership and R&D skills.

I consistently planned and led teams to help my previous employer reach its goals by satisfying my customers, meeting customers’ high standards—like Apple—and provided technical ideas and support. Even after the economic crash, I helped the company to get through it with relatively low sales reduction. As a result, should you be determined to expand your business, you can count on me.

Finally, I will follow up in a week to agree on a good time for us to meet.

Sincerely,
