My name is Linda and my major is International Journalism. The primary reason why I apply for this internship is that I perceive it as a good opportunity to acquire practical work experience in monitoring, evaluation and research in the field of global pressing issues by transforming development, strengthening governance and peacebuilding, reducing inequality and exclusion. Apart from the aspiration, I've also developed my personality and working expertise through various extracurricular activities and internship positions which might also be an asset. The following points briefly outline my three qualifications that might fit your expectations for an ideal intern at UNDP .

* A Combination of Local Knowledge and International ExperienceUnlike other candidates you’re seeing who probably seem enthusiastic about cross-cultural work and eager to experience under international exposure, I am certain of my interest as I’ve gained eye-witness experiences through my past internship at The Economist(Beijing Office), LinkedIn,Sino-Africa Center of Excellence Foundation (SACE), a Kenya-based NGO. Several educational exchange programs have enabled me to listen to and interact with people from different cultural and education background.

* Excellent Analytical and Communication Skills

I admire the work UNDP does and have followed its activities closely on its website and Wechat Subscription Account. I have solid research/analytical skill, concentration and personal competence along with a good communication skill required for this task which I have already proved through my internship and volunteering experiences in related fields.Through participation in several kinds of prestigious global events,I have sharpened my presentation skills and interpersonal skills. I have also performed a number of quality researches and drafted reports during recent internship at the Ministry of Finance.

* Team Spirit,Strategic Thinking & Detail Oriented

My leadership positions in Model United Nations and the Students’ Union  as well as several international volunteer activities demonstrate that I am equipped with practical ability to get things done through structured approach.I always believe that “A Team Is Only As Strong As Its Weakest Link”,thus once enrolled in a new working environment,I will adapt myself quickly to the role as a team player to ensure effective team performance.During my past volunteer experience,I've interpreted and assisted for the receptions of senior diplomatic officials including ambassadors,ministers and counselors from Republic of South Africa,Republic of Afghanistan together with several other countries and got highly recognized.


Having dabbled into both private and public sectors, I have been looking forward to assisting with ongoing cases in connection to  UNDP as a team player and I know I can bring a lot of bright energy and fresh ideas to this role.


I could start working on any date requested for 3-5 workdays on a weekly basis.
