I am pleased to be writing to you regarding my application for the position of Research Technician II as advertised on indeed.com. I understand that the Advanced Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory has a reputation as being a top cancer diagnostic laboratory, dedicated to developing genomic tests and carrying out molecular profiles for tumor samples.
My exceptional organizational, verbal and written skills as well as my knowledge of and experience in laboratory procedures and instruments, make me an ideal candidate for this position.
I have experience working effectively with next generation sequencing, where I used the results of a cDNA library to compare with a proteome, identifying novel genes and proteins in a medicinal plant laboratory. I have experience in molecular genetics techniques such as PCR, cDNA library extraction, expression constructs in a bacterial system and Poly A+ mRNA selection. I also have experience in maintaining biohazard and microbiology safety standards.
