To Whom It May Concern,

I am thrilled to apply for the internship position at Viacom for Fall 2016. I am interested in the production internships specifically the Programming/Scheduling Department and the Digital Media/Online Production Department. After following Viacom on various social media platforms and watching many of its programs, I decided to apply for an opening position I noticed on your website.

As a current senior at Stern College for Women majoring in Media Studies with a focus in Journalism and Advertising, I am interested in gaining knowledge about the entertainment industry. As an advertising major, I have learned how to use the media in order to target a certain audience and gain a good rapport with the niche that Viacom has established. I have also had experience with managing social media and brainstorming daily content to lure in a specific audience.

I hope to bring my past internship experiences, academic coursework, and my leadership involvement to Viacom and be a part of your team. I am a highly motivated person who knows how to manage time effectively while getting the work done appropriately and I hope to apply these qualities to this position. Given the chance, I know I would excel at the tasks and challenges presented.
