Sample cover letter for Internship position at world bank

POSITION:

intern

Dear Arvest:

I am a second-year law student at the University of Mississippi School of Law, and I am interested in the 2016 summer investment banking internships with Arvest Bank. I am particularly drawn to Arvest because I have a strong desire to work on strategic projects that contributes greatly to the ongoing success of a company. Additionally, working with Arvest will increase my knowledge on the financial services business and will help me make uniform and fair decisions on complex issues that may affect the success of the company in general.

I am confident that my work ethic and enthusiasm would make a beneficial addition to your company. During the course of my education, I have obtained preliminary skills in undergrad and graduate school; I welcome the opportunity to apply my academic skills to real life business issues in the banking practice. Prior to law school, I had the opportunity to work as a Remarketing Sales Manager for Enterprise Holdings Inc. The skills that I gained from Enterprise have helped me to think strategically, while also enhancing my leadership, management, and negotiation skills. Although my experience in the banking industry is limited, I believe that my interest in banking will allow me to hit the ground running. I have also taken courses in banking law, which has made me quite familiar with federal and state banking statutes and legal problems in the field of banking.

I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to pursue my interest in banking through an internship with Arvest. Enclosed please find my resume, which highlights my experience and skills. Thank you for your consideration of my application, and I look forward to speaking with you and developing a lasting relationship.

Best,

Martell Martin
